TIBI passed a motion at its 2020 annual Board meeting so that it now offers an educational credential specifically for BCBAs. Called the “Applied Behaviorology Credential for BCBAs,” this new coursework credential is described in the first article in the Spring 2021 issue of Journal of Behaviorology (Volume 24, Number 1; to access this article, click the Credential title in the list of other Certificates, below). This “ABC for BCBAs” is specifically designed to enable Board Certified Behavior Analysts (a) to go deeper into the science that grounds their applied interventions, and (b) to consider some additional areas in which society needs their knowledge and skills to help an increasingly diverse range of clients. (Direct any inquiries about equivalences of TIBI courses and the courses of other BCBA educational programs, or about the TIBI Equivalency Committee [TEC] to the TIBI Chair, on the CONTACT page.)
For the article that describes, as of January 2018, all the rest of TIBI’s Certificate Programs, click HERE. Each Certificate title, listed below, also links to this article. To view a Brochure that briefly summarizes TIBI’s certificates, click “Brochure.” After also examining this “Current Certificates” page, and perhaps completing the “Certificate Interest Form” on this page, you can use the “Course Enrollment Form” to enroll in a course.
NOTE: These Certificates work with the syllabi for all of TIBI’s courses, which work in conjunction with a “General Parameters and Procedures…” article that appeared in Journal of Behaviorology, 18 (2), 3–6. The syllabi for all of TIBI’s courses appeared in these two journal issues: Journal of Behaviorology, 19 (2), 3–43, and in Journal of Behaviorology, 20 (1), 19–31. (You can also access all these course–related items from the “EDUCATION–Current Courses” page.)
After examining the offered certificates, please use this “Certificate Interest Form” to express any interest in pursuing one or another TIBI Certificates. Filling out the form creates no obligation; completed forms are used for human–resources planning.
